Unlockle

Unlockle is a logic game that uses an unlock paradigm and is inspired by Wordle. In just six tries, you must use logic to identify a pattern—similar to the lock screen on a smartphone—if you want to win at Unlock. Your ability to think and use logic will be tested in this game.

How to engage in gameplay

Finding a pattern that mimics a mobile device's home screen is the aim of this game. You have to draw five straight lines in order to win. As long as there isn't an invisible dot between any two dots, they can all link to each other. You have two options: swipe the entire pattern at once, or press or click the dots one after the other. Each "dot" in the pattern is colored to indicate its correctness: in the correct position, in the solution but in a different location, or not in the solution at all. Following each turn, the entered pattern is shown along with suggestions as to how near it is to the answer. In order to avoid losing turns by repeatedly trying unsuccessful strategies, the player is entitled to remember the paths of previous attempts.

- All previous attempts are shown in order when playing on the least difficulty setting, which greatly simplifies the game but does not ensure success.
- The path from the previous try is displayed when you launch a new game on standard difficulties; upon joining, the new path takes its place. Nevertheless, the current attempt does not make advantage of the dots. The colors are still there with the second try.
- The player must remember the order of each try, all the way down to the final one, because on hard mode, the colors of the dots remain the same and their prior journey is hidden.
