Metalloids & post-transition metals players must guess silicon, tin, and lead. These elements are less well-known than alkali metals & alkaline earth metals and transition metals, making them harder to guess.
Players predict nitrogen, oxygen, and fluorine in diatomic nonmetals. Non-metals are harder to guess.
Players guess polyatomic nonmetals like sulfur, phosphorus, and chlorine. These elements are nonmetals and molecules, making them even harder to guess.
Players guess noble gases like helium, neon, and argon. Inert and unreactive, these elements are the hardest to guess.
The updated periodic table grays out impossible elements in each category to help players guess. Limiting guesses makes the game harder.
